Insurance Coverage for Acupuncture Services

At our acupuncture clinic, we understand that navigating insurance coverage can be complex. It's important to note that insurance coverage for acupuncture varies from company to company, and most policies primarily cover treatment for pain-related conditions. If you have a PPO insurance plan, we can assist you in verifying your specific benefits. However, please keep in mind that verification of benefits does not guarantee payment. We do not accept HMO insurance plans.

Practitioner Availability for Insurance

Please note that only Jaye Cho currently accepts insurance. When scheduling your appointment, be sure to specify if you plan to use your insurance coverage, so we can ensure you are booked with the appropriate practitioner.

In-Network Insurance

Jaye Cho is in-network with CIGNA PPO. If you have a CIGNA PPO plan, your acupuncture treatments may be covered according to your policy's terms and conditions.

Out-of-Network Insurance

For all other insurance plans, we are considered out-of-network. However, we accept the following:

  • PPO Insurance Policies
  • ILWU/PMA Insurance
  • HSA/Flexible Spending Accounts

If you have one of these insurance plans, we can provide you with a detailed receipt called a "superbill" after your treatment. You can then submit this superbill to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, subject to your plan's out-of-network benefits and coverage for acupuncture services.

For patients who do not have insurance or prefer not to use their insurance, we offer cash rates and time of service discounts.
