Our favorite drink as a family especially during the summer is cantaloupe juice!
Since they were small, my kids have loved cantaloupe juice. I’ll talk about the benefits of cantaloupe juice and share a super easy recipe on how to prepare it.
Benefits of cantaloupe juice
Contains vitamins, minerals & replenishes the body’s electrolytes
Cantaloupe juice is a nutrient-packed elixir that is an excellent source of vitamin A, which is essential for maintaining healthy vision, skin, and immune function. Additionally, it contains vitamin C, which supports the immune system and promotes collagen production for healthy skin. Cantaloupe juice contains potassium and magnesium, which help replenish the body’s electrolytes.
Cools the body
In Chinese medicine dietary therapy, cantaloupe is considered a cooling fruit, and its juice is believed to offer several health benefits by balancing the body’s energy and promoting overall well-being.
Cantaloupe juice is considered cooling in nature, which means it can help clear excess heat from the body. Drinking cantaloupe juice during hot weather or when experiencing symptoms of heat-related imbalances may help alleviate discomfort and promote a sense of coolness.
Digestive Aid
Cantaloupe juice is gentle on the digestive system and can be soothing to the stomach. According to Chinese medicine, it can help harmonize the stomach and spleen meridians, supporting digestion and alleviating symptoms of indigestion or upset stomach.
Cantaloupe contains dietary fiber, which aids in promoting regular bowel movements and preventing constipation. Additionally, the natural enzymes found in the juice can assist in breaking down food, enhancing nutrient absorption, and reducing the burden on the digestive system.
