Some wounds aren't changed by insight alone. They require an embodied experience of safety, connection, and something different. This is the story of how I learned that—and why I built the NeuroQigong Method™.

Maybe you've done the protocols, taken the supplements, seen every specialist. Maybe you've done the inner work, the affirmations, the mindset shifts, the meditation, the daily practice of trying to think yourself into a calmer, steadier place. Maybe you've done both. And still, some mornings, your body feels like it's fighting you before you've even gotten out of bed.

It isn't a willpower problem.

It's a nervous system and a brain doing exactly what they were built to do.

And it doesn't mean the work you've already done was wrong.

It may simply mean that healing involves more than what we can understand with the mind.

Our nervous system is constantly taking in information about our internal and external world, adapting to what we've experienced and responding in ways that often happen before conscious thought.

Sometimes the mind knows something is safe while the body is still responding cautiously.

Sometimes we understand a pattern completely and still find ourselves living inside it. That's not failure. It's part of being human.

And it's one of the reasons I created the NeuroQigong Method™.

The Layer Most Approaches Miss

Healing happens on more than one level. There's the mind. There's the body. There's your emotions. And there's something even deeper still, the level of spirit, of soul.

We have many ways of approaching healing. Some start with the mind, using thought, language, and reframing, this is talk therapy, mindset coaching, affirmations. Others start with the body, diet, supplements, conventional medicine, many integrative health approaches. Each of these can offer something valuable.

But especially when you carry trauma—whether it's something you lived through yourself or something passed down before you ever had words for it—there can be a deeper layer of healing that many approaches don't directly address.

Talk therapy can help us understand what happened. Mindfulness can help us develop awareness. Medicine, nutrition, and other physical approaches can support the body. All of these can be profoundly valuable.

But there is another layer: the ways those experiences can shape the nervous system and the body, often beneath conscious awareness—the body's learned patterns of protection, the nervous system's responses, and the ways an experience can continue to shape how you feel and respond long after the original circumstances are gone.

That's the layer the NeuroQigong Method™ was created to work with.

If you've done any of this work already, mindset work, physical support, both, that effort wasn't wasted. It mattered, and it built something real.

The NeuroQigong Method™ bridges all of that together, meeting your nervous system directly, so everything you've already done finally has somewhere whole to land.

The NeuroQigong Method™

The NeuroQigong Method™ is a neuroscience based somatic practice rooted in ancient wisdom. I created it to help people release stored trauma, break free from stress and burnout, and move beyond the kind of exhaustion that never seems to lift no matter how much rest you get.

It's built on Traditional East Asian principles, on Qigong, and mindful movement practices that are thousands of years old. And it's informed by modern neuroscience, which offers us another language for understanding how embodied practices can influence the brain and nervous system, support neuroplasticity, and create conditions for healing.

It's a pathway back to yourself—to the deeper places where wisdom, vitality, connection, and wholeness can become accessible again. Through embodied practice, we create the conditions for your body's own healing capacities to come forward.

And for me, healing isn't only about the nervous system.

It reaches deeper—to the level of spirit, of soul, and of the part of you that has always carried an inner knowing of who you are beneath everything you've experienced.

The goal isn't to fix a broken body. It's to learn to work with the body, listen to its intelligence, and reconnect with its capacity for change.

Ancient Wisdom, and the Science Behind it

There's a real boom right now in somatic movement and nervous system work.

Many of these ideas are being discussed as though they are entirely new discoveries.

But human beings have been working with the relationship between movement, breath, attention, energy, and wellbeing for thousands of years.

The NeuroQigong Method™ is built on that bridge.

It draws from Qigong and Traditional East Asian healing practices alongside contemporary understandings of the brain and nervous system.

I deeply honor the lineage, culture, and mastery behind Qigong and the generations of practice-based knowledge that have shaped these traditions.

These practices do not need modern science to prove that they are valuable.

What neuroscience can offer is another language—one that can help us explore some of the physiological processes through which embodied practices influence the brain, nervous system, attention, stress responses, and our capacity to adapt.

These are different systems of knowledge.

They don't need to be collapsed into one another to be in conversation.

When ancient traditions speak about cultivating and circulating Qi, they are describing the body, vitality, balance, and our relationship with ourselves and the world through a different framework of understanding.

Modern neuroscience offers another framework for understanding some of the biological processes involved in regulation, adaptation, and change.

The NeuroQigong Method™ honors those roots and makes that wisdom accessible for how we actually live now.

How the Body Speaks

Trauma and chronic stress don't just live in the mind.

They can shape the body, the nervous system, the breath, movement, emotions, attention, and our baseline responses to the world. Because of this, movement can offer something that words alone sometimes can't reach.

When we move consciously, breathe intentionally, and bring our attention into the body, we're communicating with a system that doesn't speak primarily through intellectual language.

We're giving the body an opportunity to experience something different.

This is why I believe embodied practice matters so deeply.

The NeuroQigong Method™ helps deepen your relationship with your body that allows you to listen, respond, and gradually build greater capacity for regulation and connection.

Why I Created the NeuroQigong Method™

This method comes out of my own life.

I'm a mom, a poet, a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and energy healer. I'm also a human rights advocate and a survivor of abduction and torture.

I've spent over two decades in the healing arts, and in my own journey, I was doing everything I knew how to heal myself.

Talk therapy. Mindfulness. Years of body and mind work. All of it helped me build a foundation. But it wasn't until I was willing to go into the deepest wounds, the ones underneath the coping and the insight, that I actually started to heal.

The mind can understand a wound completely and still not be able to release it. Your nervous system has to feel safe enough to let go. This deeper work is what let that awareness finally become healing.

The NeuroQigong Method™ is what I built from that understanding, a bridge between ancient practices like Qigong and contemporary understandings of the brain and nervous system.

Healing is a lifelong process. I'm still on the path. But I can say this much today. I feel more fully myself than I have at any other point in my life.

Somewhere in that process, I found what I now call your Little Sage, the indomitable spirit in all of us, an inner knowing, a well of power that already knows how to heal.

What the NeuroQigong Method™ Offers You

The NeuroQigong Method™ meets you wherever you are on your healing journey.

It's a practice that helps you reconnect with your own inner Little Sage, that part of you that remains naturally calm, deeply wise, and steady, even when everything around you is not.

If your body has been carrying more than it should have to carry alone, the NeuroQigong Method™ is here to help you finally set some of it down.

Ready to Begin Your Healing Journey?

A Sacred Invitation for BIPOC Women:

This fall, I'm holding space for a NeuroQigong Method™ cohort created especially for BIPOC women—a healing space that honors your lived experience and addresses the intergenerational wounds and systemic oppression that have shaped your health.

This cohort applies the NeuroQigong Method™ through a decolonized lens, creating room for the deep, ancestral healing that your mind, body, and spirit deserve.

If you've been carrying the weight of generational trauma, navigating chronic illness born from stress and survival, or simply exhausted from existing in systems that weren't built for your thriving—this space is for you.

Not Ready Yet? Or this cohort isn't for you?

Join my email list to be the first to know when my free masterclasses and upcoming cohorts open. I'll guide you through how the NeuroQigong Method™ works to release stored trauma, rewire your nervous system, and restore your body's natural capacity for healing.

You'll also get early access to upcoming cohorts starting in early 2027.
